“Communities cannot ‘out-organize’ voter suppression when those they organize to elect won’t protect the vote. And even if they DO out-organize, the ground is being set to overturn results.” – Rep. @AOC #DefendDemocracy #ForThePeopleActhttps://t.co/xXl8dGKJow

Let me get this straight. So far 600,000 Americans have died of COVID yet Republicans don’t think you should have to be vaccinated.
So far only 16 instances of alleged voter fraud have been found in the 2020 election yet they’ve passed 30 laws making it harder for you to vote.

This is the “new” Republican Party: cult-like support of Trump; big lies and conspiracy theories; voter suppression and rejection of COVID and climate science. For the sake of democracy, human health and the future of our planet, they must be defeated.

“Turns out we’re killing our voters, and our election models for 2022 show that even with all our new voter suppression laws, we can’t win important races if too many of our voters are dead. Our bad. We really wanted to avoid siding with science, but we kinda have to here.” https://t.co/UhfhyYTJ8O

Here is what the modern Republican Party is all about: cult-like devotion to Trump, big lies and conspiracy theories, voter suppression, climate denial and anti-science vaccine rejection. For the sake of our kids and future generations, they cannot be allowed to prevail.

Why are Republicans trying to convince their own voters not to be vaccinated? Because their best hope for winning in 2022, in addition to voter suppression, is to keep stoking the culture wars — even at the cost of more illness and death.

To protect Texan’s voting rights & save democracy, Texas Democrats had to leave their state to avoid @GovAbbott from arresting them and forcing them to vote on an an incredibly heinous voter suppression bill.

“Gerrymandering exacerbates voter polarization + cynicism. Because general elections are virtually meaningless for most seats in the House, candidates pander to the more partisan voters who show up for primaries.”
