@FundForHumanity: Thank you @SenDaveCortese for launching the pilot program in Santa Clara County in 2020 when you were Supervisor. It was an honor for @FundForHumanity to partner with you in this endeavor. That’s how we get the ball rolling for UBI, one step at a time.

@FundForHumanity: This is how you make change happen: In 2017, @MichaelDTubbs launches UBI in Stockton, CA; in 2020, now @SenDaveCortese, then Supervisor, launches UBI in Santa Clara County, CA, now the State of California launches a unanimous, state-wide, state-financed UBI. Next stop, DC.

@FundForHumanity: First, it was Stockton, CA (@MichaelDTubbs), then it was Santa Clara County, CA (@SenDaveCortese) and now, it’s the State of CA – next stop, the Federal Government. And it only took 4 years.

@FundForHumanity: Kudos @MichaelDTubbs and @SenDaveCortese who got the ball rolling in Stockton and Santa Clara County. One small step for UBI, one big step for the American people.

@FundForHumanity: Thank you @SenDaveCortese for making this happen. FYI, this idea arose out of a conversation we had in July ’19 that led to the 1st such pilot in Santa Clara County. That’s why the eventual implementation of UBI is just a matter of time & relentless work. JOIN: @income_movement.

@FundForHumanity: .@FundForHumanity was instrumental in starting the first such pilot in Santa Clara County in partnership with CA @SenDaveCortese who now introduced SB 739 to extend the pilot to all transitioning foster youth in the state.
