This sounds like the benign version of The Hunger Games. Pulte’s claim that philanthropy is better able than the gov to solve the problem of poverty doesn’t take into account that it isn’t the gov that funds UBI, it’s the economy. Here’s why: https://t.co/Xp4DiM4pNv pic.twitter.com/xooE8jDaS5

Using poverty as a weapon to coerce people into accepting wages they would never otherwise accept if they had the power to refuse those wages thanks to already having their basic needs met is wrong, but it’s also not a good deal.
Child poverty alone costs us over $ 1 trillion/yr.

I have come as a light into the world, so that everyone who believes in me should not remain in darkness. If anyone hears my words & does not obey them, I do not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world.

“While Jeff Bezos’s wealth has grown to $ 180 billion and counting, his @amazon warehouse employees work nonstop, get few breaks, have to piss into water bottles & work in unsafe conditions. This is unacceptable!” – Joseph Geevarghese, OurRev ED #PROAct https://t.co/3piQp4O3vf

The history of racism and its current iterations are blatant and corrosive. But it is subsumed into classism which, if it brought poor and working class people together with their natural allies, would actually result in concrete, easily implemented policy: give people money.

I fell into echo chambers, which happened to be progressive, and there I remained until around the Autumn of 2020. One was a place where Andrew Yang was smeared while the fear mongering about UBI swayed me away from it. Now, I’m as progressive as ever but a fan of #UBI + #Yang.

It was much simpler times, however I find technology & automation facinating. As technology continues to progress it will make our lives easier. I’ve already noticed a huge advancement in web development, so with that said I would stay, actually prefer to go into the future.
