As Majority Leader, McConnell:
—Blocked the Senate from considering Obama’s Supreme Court nominee
—Got rid of the filibuster to confirm Trump’s nominees
—Obstructed countless House bills
He bet Dems wouldn’t retaliate when they regained power. So far that bet is paying off.

As Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell blocked:
–A Supreme Court nominee
–Voting rights bills
–Clean energy investments
–Gun safety legislation
–A $ 15 minimum wage
Let’s get one thing straight: The era of bipartisanship has long been over. https://t.co/movo55i5xX

Moderate Democrats preference for bipartisan legislation is totally understandable but what you see with the 1/6 Commission bill is the filibuster discourages this by making the bar for passing anything so high that even successful efforts to court cross-party votes are useless.

If you tell lies in court, you are done for; only a reliable witness can do the job. Wicked people bluff their way, but God’s people think before they take a step. No matter how much you know or what plans you make, you can’t defeat the Lord.

One year ago today, George Floyd was murdered by police.
Though one officer has been held accountable in court, our system has continued to fail communities of color.
We owe it to every Black American killed by police to turn our words into action.
